    I was until I realized the cooler that I bought back in august with the rest of my parts fit in my case. Try having a stock intel cooler on an i7-4790K

    I’m sure it would be fine… if not, why would Intel manufacture it? I mean, if you are overclocking, then yes… aftermarket cooler makes sense.

    I only got mine to prolong the life of my CPU. Maybe one day I’ll decide to overclock, but for now I’m happy.

    Interesting that you positioned it vertically. I never thought of that. Or does your case not have a rear fan?
