Was wondering if it wouldn’t be easier to just trash our forums here and instead point to our Reddit sub /r/suckapunch. Thoughts, suggestions, comments, complaints, witty remarks, jokes, insults, questions, grunts, non-verbal disapproving head shakes….etc… let me know.

I would much rather use a third party forum like IPB (Invision Power Board). Even PHPBB would do, but I prefer IPB. Would just need a decent host.

EDIT: Looks like you can actually purchase IPB directly from their website with hosting included. It’s scaled based on average users. Lowest package is $20/mo

EDIT: I forgot you are already paying for hosting from GoDaddy. How much are you paying?

We could use a pirated version of IPB, although I’m sure GoDaddy or any other host has some agreement that doesn’t allow it. Or there’s the license for $175 or monthly services for $20/mo.

I dunno. What seems to be the issue with our current forums?

There isn’t an issue… just no one is using them. lol I think paying anymore for more services is silly. We already pay monthly for two game servers, and annually for web hosting and domain registrations. I don’t think we need any more expenses.

Well if we switch to Reddit might as well hand the Reddit reigns to me since I’m a “seasoned” veteran at redditing(all I use). Might need to fix up our subreddit

We could always go with PHPBB forums as they are free. Or, Brandon, if we went with Reddit, could it potentially attract new people? Or would it just be our own little private area.

IDK there’s just not that much to talk about with the constant rust wipes and the fact not everyone plays the same games.

That’s precisely what there IS to talk about though… all the different games we play. :)
