Very cool game. Still in early alpha so not a lot of content, but I like the way they’re going with it. Maps are procedurally generated consisting of small islands scattered throughout the ocean. You start with a raft and a paddle which allows you to move from island to island.
You can craft basic tools, build shelters, cook up some crab, climb trees, pick and eat coconuts, do some diving and search ship wrecks for rare loot. You can craft a spear for fishing and you can even hunt sharks if you’re feeling brave.
I haven’t had to yet but you can also build a log raft just in case you lose your inflatable raft. You can even find engine parts to rig up a motor.
Here’s a couple screenshots from my game tonight.

February 9, 2015 at 10:29 am #702Yea, I might have to get this…AND H1Z1. Too many games… arrrgghh.
February 9, 2015 at 11:44 am #703I know how you feel. Remember the good old days when all we had ever played together was Rust? Simpler times… Now it seems like we’re onto a new game every other week.
February 9, 2015 at 12:02 pm #704While I do prefer the co-op and multi-player aspects of Rust, DayZ, 7DTD… the solo survival games have their own unique way of entertaining me, too. Like the Long Dark, Stranded Deep, could give some great reward of “doing it all on your own”.
Oh the simpler days….

Damn dude that’s actually pretty true. I feel like the only reason we switch so much is that not all group members really “Hook” onto it. 3 of us will be hooked on a game then the others will only kind of like it. Then we search for another game which we all enjoy equally. I guess that’s what Rust was. A game we all enjoyed and met through. Now here we are searching for what is seemingly our “second” rust. Hopefully we can find that.

February 11, 2015 at 8:47 pm #709Seriously though… I think H1Z1 COULD be that game.. Possibly. I have really been enjoying it. Base got raided
Rust all over again, haha.
February 12, 2015 at 9:39 am #710I thought that about 7 Days to Die too, Project.
February 12, 2015 at 6:47 pm #711Well it kinda was our new game for awhile. Just didn’t have the lasting effect that Rust had.
